Mole Monster! raaaar

Here is an entry to 2 competitions, The November 2012 Gnomon Monthly Challenge AND the Train Your Brain TAD Deviant Art Competition.

Subject for Gnomon was 'Earth Giant'
My giant is based off the star nosed mole. The idea is these guys dig around the landscape creating the mountainous area and have mushrooms and seeds growing off them which get dispersed everywhere. They are hunted for their claws and have nearly been brought to extinction. This is a scene of a group of would be mercenaries trying to take one down and getting more than they bargained for.
